We loved how secluded Trail Creek Hot Springs felt even though it was only a few (60 to be exact) feet from the road! It's just north of Cascade so it's a good place to stop if you are on your way back to Boise from McCall. It's about 19 miles out of your way, but I would say it's worth it!
How to get there:
From Boise (2 hours): Head North on ID-55, turn right on Warm Lake Road and follow it for about 19 miles.
From McCall (1 hour): Head South on ID-55, turn left on Warm Lake Road and follow it for about 19 miles.
Look for a parking area on the South side of the road. You will find the trail near the parking lot and that will lead you to the two soaking pools! It is a semi-steep trail so please bring proper shoes (we wore our chacos).
Camping Details:
There are some campsites near the parking lot & hot springs if you want to make an overnight trip of it. We saw some campers and plan on camping next time we visit!
We visited in early Summer and there was only one other group in the other pool so we got this one to ourselves. If you visit during peak season, you might have to share with some friends!
Also, please remember to leave no trace and pack out everything you brought in!
